Asexuality And My Self-loathe To Self-love Story – How You Can Self-Love – Empowerography Interview With Sandra Bellamy

Empowerography asexuality interview with Sandra Bellamy

So happy to be featured on Empowerography Podcast telling my personal story of how I went from self-loathing to self-loving through entrepreneurship and what inspires me most about the work I do for asexuals and what asexuality actually is.

Watch a clip from the interview about what inspires me most about the work I do for asexuals, or click here https://youtu.be/c7tuyXe68d8?si=j9XBmA6rKPKCRfLX

And if you’ve ever lacked  purpose, felt like you don’t belong, or you don’t like yourself or your life – I want you to know I’ve been in that position myself for many, many years, since childhood, and it was tough – is an understatement.

It wasn’t until this moment… that everything changed for me and I went from self-loathing to self-loving…

See what I mean by watching this video below – or clicking through this link https://youtu.be/vJ0rnoVoPos?si=H27JeYBJKRo6gqFF

After watching the video, you may have noticed that in order to self-love, you need to:

  • Take notice of all the special qualities you have.
  • How much life experience you have.
  • How much knowledge you have gained, through work and your life.
  • How many skills you have gained, through work and your life.

  • All of which you can use to help others.
  • Which means you are useful, not useless.
  • You are worthy of being in life.
  • You matter.

So think about all of these.

Helping others gives you purpose, meaning, and helps you to heal also. Even if that’s doing some sort of volunteer work – online or offline.

Helping yourself, by seeing your own value and worth, even when you’re not helping others, is important to your own health and wellbeing.

The more you see yourself as you truly are, not what love ones, family, so called friends and society have conditioned you to believe and think you are, the more you can be your true authentic self and love yourself. You can’t love yourself if others have manipulated and brainwashed you into believing you are this, that, and the other… and you can never change and there is something inherently wrong with you – what’s wrong with you, is the lies of unworthiness other people have fed you, and you believe, if you lack self-love. I hope you can begin to see, if you lack self-love, that you are worth loving and being in life.

And if you already love yourself, then I’m super happy for you and I’m glad you’re not dealing with the pain of self-loathing like I used to be, of both my life and myself…

In fact, it was in 2012, that my diagnosis of Fibromyalgia saved me from depression and my first ever business seminar I attended, was the start of my entrepreneurial journey that in turn started my self-love journey… before I found out I’m asexual in 2014…

Once again, this interview helps me with my life mission of getting asexuality recognised as a sexual orientation is its own right throughout the globe, so no asexual has to live in fear of ridicule ever again, and I’m so happy that Brad Walsh gave me this opportunity to empower and inspire his Empowerography audience.

Let me know what you think 🤔

As always, stay ACE.

Happy International Celebrate Being Single Day! How are you practising self-love today? Self-love quotes to inspire you!

Happy International Celebrate Being Single Day. Don’t forget to use #ICBSD in your Tweets and posts to show how happy you are being single and how you are celebrating it.

Today is about celebrating being single and being happy to be single. It’s about celebrating self-love and the freedom you have as a beautiful solo artist of life!

On International Celebrate Being Single Day, I usually go on a self-date somewhere on my own to celebrate being single. Today, is a different experience for me, as I am celebrating being single and self-love with an asexual romantic guy friend. Yes, it is kind of ironic that two asexual romantics are celebrating being single together for International Celebrate Being Single Day, which is the same day as Valentine’s Day. We are going to the aquarium in a place called Plymouth in the UK and then for a meal in Nandos– which is a Portuguese style chicken restaurant chain! Although their first restaurant was in South Africa.

Here is a self-love video I created on my Inspiration Inspired channel to inspire you to love yourself from within, don’t forget to subscribe for more inspiring quote videos!

And if you missed this video from a previous post with quotes about why it’s so good to be single, please watch it now and share it with a friend to celebrate this joyous ‘Celebrate Being Single Day’ today.

How are you celebrating being single today?

Until next time, stay ace, and have an ace day!

Lots of self-love and love from me.

ASEXUAL BEAUTY AND PERSONAL CARE 10 Top Tips To BOOST Your Self-esteem And Feel Great!

Beauty and personal care

Asexual Beauty and Personal Care

In order to maintain your asexual beauty and personal care, it is important to not only get the right products, but to also take action to boost your self-esteem and feel great.

10 Top Tips To BOOST Your Self-esteem And Feel Great!

Look good and feel great by taking care of the most important person in your life, YOU!

Whether it’s pampering yourself from head to toe, or taking a simple bubble bath, the most important person to take care of is you! Because once you feel good on the inside, it will be clearly visible on the outside!

It is so important to boost your self-esteem whenever possible, and there are many ways you can do this with taking ultra good care of your personal health and beauty being one of them! You can also:

Hobbies

1) Do hobbies that make you feel great!

Get Creative

2) Be creative. Creativity boosts your energy levels and makes you feel good.

Water Wellness

3) Drink plenty of water, keeping hydrated is essential to your health and wellbeing and can make you feel more alert and energetic.

Endorphin Hit!

4) Exercise whenever possible, every little bit helps to release endorphins, which is those feel good chemicals!

5) Laughing also releases endorphins – so make sure you do as much to make yourself laugh as possible and try to get friends who you feel comfortable around, who you can be yourself with, and who make you laugh too!

Exercise Your Brain!

6) Physical exercise is important, but exercising your brain is equally, if not more important, as once the brain goes dead you feel dead inside, whilst still very much being alive, so take personal and professional development courses, read books, watch educational programmes and YouTube videos that will grow you as a person!

7) Indulge your senses whenever possible; sight, smell, taste and touch. Get out into fresh air or eat some lovely smelling food, which also tastes good, and if meeting up with friends in person, give them a hug to greet them and say goodbye!

Find Your Tribe!

8) Join both online and offline groups to make friends and spend time with those friends. See them in person or on video chat.

9) Spend time with people who really understand you and who you can relate to! Many of our problems stem from being around others who are not like ourself and who don’t understand us. If you have prolonged exposure to these types of people, it can be very destructive for your personal wellbeing as you can feel there is something wrong with you when there isn’t and you are constantly looking to fix you, when instead you just need to fix your situation, by removing these people from your life, or spending less time with them! You need to find your tribe, those who understand you and who want to be around you and spend time with you, because they love and like you for who you are.

Make Change Happen For You Not To You!

10) Trying something new, can be a bit scary at first, but it is good to push yourself out of your comfort zone as much as possible, otherwise your life stagnates and you can become bored with it, without realising. Plus your brain needs stimulation, even if you don’t like change, you should make change happen for you, rather than to you, therefore it is not so scary and you can make good progress with your life!

I hope these personal care 10 top tips to boost your self-esteem have helped you to feel great on the inside, so then you will radiate more beauty on the outside! Because YOU are worth it! Believe it!

How Are You Going To Celebrating International Celebrate Being Single Day? #ICBSD (How To Self-Love At Home!)

Not long to go, I am feeling super excited to celebrate International Celebrate Being Single Day, #ICBSD, on Feb 14th. (Not to be confused with ‘Singles Day – which I believe was originally set up as a more cynical view of Valentine’s Day and being single – Whereas the day I founded is to ‘celebrate’ being single – which is key).** I founded International Celebrate Being Single Day in 2015 so that no single person has to ever feel alone on Valentine’s Day – Instead they can CELEBRATE it as their special day too – By self-dating, or meeting up with friends. Every year since 2015 I have had a self-date on that day and I love it – makes me feel great.

How are you going to be celebrating?

If you are going to be staying at home, here are ways you can self-love at home, the asexual way!

Asexual Self-Love! 10 Ways to Asexually Self-love at home! #asexuality

Asexual Self-Love: How To Self-Love At Home The Asexual Way. It’s so important when single especially, to self-love at home.  Sometimes spending a lot of time on your own at home can be fabulous, but for some others, it can feel lonely and isolating, this is why it is important to develop a self-love attitude! In this video I reveal ways you can self-love at home!

Self-love should be a daily practise! And self-dating should be a must. But what are some things you can do to self-love at home?

Here are some key points from the video!

  1. Have a movie day, watching movies that are not just full of death and destruction, but that are humorous and light-hearted too! Don’t forget to have popcorn and crisps to accompany your movies!
  2. Read your favourite books, including asexual books. And read non-fiction books for your personal and professional development.
  3. Write, if you enjoy writing.
  4. Learn from home and take a course online to develop yourself and your life in some way.
  5. Give yourself a hug or kiss if you want to.
  6. If you experience arousal, and want to relieve it and masturbate, then go for it.
  7. Do artwork; poetry; anything you enjoy doing.
  8. Cook yourself a meal.
  9. Take a hot bath or shower to relax and reflect!
  10. Enjoy eating your favourite foods and having a foodgasm!!
